What does it mean?

I have been having these really vivid dreams lately where I am chewing gum and I just can't get it out of my mouth. It's always a big ol' wad of bubble gum and it's sticking to my teeth and sliding down my throat and no matter how hard I try I can't get it out! I pull on it and bite it off and pull on it some more but it never all comes out. I have had this dream multiple times so I figured there must be something to it. I found a dream analysis site and this is what it said...

Gum
To dream that you are chewing gum, suggests that you are unable to express yourself effectively. You may feel vulnerable. Alternatively, it symbolizes a sticky situation that you found yourself in.

To dream that you are unable to get rid of your gum, suggests that you are experiencing some indecision, powerlessness or frustration. You may lack understanding in a situation or find that a current problem is overwhelming.

Now I guess there are some situations wherein this could apply but I dunno, does anybody buy in to this stuff? Am I going to be ok?!

  1. Michelle--have you never heard me tell the story about my very worst nightmare that I have had dozens and dozens of times over the years?
It is exactly the one you just described. That is one of the
reasons I never chew gum. It is
awful and I am sure I am going to
choke on all that gum. Thanks for
finding out what it means. Neil is right about it being because of being messed up, but I didn't just watch anybody have a baby--I'm just messed up! Hope you don't ever have it again.
    Love, Mom

  2. You're pregnant?? Congratulations! I'll tell everyone I know.

About the dream, I think usually dreams are just leftovers of stuff we thought about during the day. The weird dreams like yours, or teeth falling out, or oysters that won't go away - they make me think there's something to dream analysis. (Not that I know anything.)
