A while ago I saw this tutorial and fell in love with it. I am such a scarf girl and love the raw-ness of this one. When I was down at my sister's in October I bought some cute heather grey jersey to make my own but when I pulled it out yesterday to finally make the scarf it was immediately obvious that I hadn't bought enough, like by a long shot. Soooooo I remembered Porter's duvet and thought it would be the perfect opportunity to cut it up.
I then made it into this:
I am SO pleased with how it turned out. It's warm, it's cute and it's re-purposed. Love it.
OK, Moo, when will it end? You are so clever, innovative, imaginative, thrifty, fashionistic, trendy, cute (and I could go on, but I need to save some words for the next blog--and besides I'll need to get a dictionary out to find some new ones)! The scarf is awsome, but what is on poor Porter's bed? You need to show us.

ReplyDeleteLOVE IT!! But there's no way that it took a whole duvet to make that so you must have leftover. Hmmmm.....if only there was someone in your life that loved yellow, and loved scarves, then you could make them one to use up some scraps. Gosh, I wish I could think of someone. Maybe it'll come to you sometime. ha ha! It really is stinkin cute. I've wanted to make one of those too, but never have. Great job! Love ya!!!
