I've been shot
Last week I was walking along the sidewalk downtown (and no, some random stranger didn't call me an ugly biotch... this time anyway) and there were two little boys walking towards me. They had toy guns in their hands and were making shooting noises~ as little boys do. I didn't really think much of it until as I got closer the one little boy singled me out, took aim, and fired. He shot me like 10 times and then laughed as he walked off. I'm serious! Who does that?! What on earth is that brat going to grow up like and what has his mother (not) been teaching him? I bet she has a gun too.

Break A Leg!
I think she's only doing it because she wants people to think she's really not that bad. She wants to show the world she's a fun-loving sweetheart and win their hearts. Well she's not, and she won't. Go Team McCartney!

Curry School
Last week Neil and I attended a class at the local community college called "World of Curries." It was a fantastic night of learning, smelling and tasting! (We missed you Chris and Katherine!)
This is my favorite recipe of the night:
Chiangmai Curry
30 ml oil
1 garlic clove, minced
1 Tbsp Red Curry Paste
125 ml coconut milk
120 gm lean pork sliced/chicken breast sliced
2.5 cm piece ginger root, minced
30 ml stock
15 ml fish sauce
1 tsp sugar
½ tsp tumeric powder
2 tsp lemon or lime juice
Heat oil and lightly fry garlic, add curry paste and cook for a few seconds. Stir in the coconut milk and cook until liquid starts to reduce. Add pork or chicken, stir well until meat is well coated. Add ginger, stock, fish sauce, sugar, tumeric and lemon/lime juice. Continue cooking until meat is fully cooked. Serve with rice.

Some Handicrafts
Here is a sampling of the things I made at my pottery class. I have only one regret (well besides the fact that my instructor wasn't much of an "instructor"), I should have made more mugs. There's nothing like a homemade mug... although I haven't actually drank out of it yet, I hope I don't get sick.
